I have been experimenting with the light and dark backgrounds too, and I agree, the light does feel more like Spring - but I find it so much harder to do! However, both your photos are lovely and show your ring beautifully.
Outside it does not feel like spring at all! Do you find it much harder to photograph a small object Erica? I mean as opposed to let say a cushion?
